For The Birth

• Placenta bowl
• 4 hand towles
• 10 to 12 old clean towels (more for water-birth)
• Heating pad
• Flashlight with extra batteries
• 10 washcloths (Okay to cut up old clean towel)
• 2 bottles of Hydrogen Peroxide (for clean up)
• Plastic trash bags
• 2 packages of large Chux (disposable underpads)                                                                                                
• Roll of blue shop towels
• Box of tissues (Kleenex type)
• Drop cloth or shower curtain

For Baby

• 14 receiving blankets
• 4 to 5 cotton t-shirts
• 4 to 5 dozen cloth diapers
• 4 to 5 cotton sleepers
• Thermometer
• 2 to 4 small stocking caps
• 2 to 4 pairs of booties or socks

For A Water-birth

• Roll of 2 ml. thick plastic to line birthing tub and protect floor
• Clean garden hose
• 2 large pots (to heat extra water)
• More towels
